To facilitate consumption data collection, Develco Products is today launching the Meter Data Concentrator, a battery-powered gateway that is ideal for medium-sized metering installations.
One gateway can collect data up to 1000 meters via Wireless M-Bus and send it to the server via an LTE connection. . The Meter Data Concentrator has a battery lifetime of up to 10 years, ensuring a long-lasting solution.
With a Meter Data Concentrator as part of your smart energy system, you can get automatic meter readings every day and do not have to rely on manual data collection. This reduces meter reading cost of your solution and makes you independent from other collection methods.
Reliable and secure meter reading via Wireless M-Bus
The Meter Data Concentrator communicates with the meters via Wireless M-Bus, a secure and reliable protocol that is widely used for different kinds of meters. The data collected from the meters stays encrypted while it is transferred via the gateway, ensuring a high level of security and complying with local regulations.
Customizable solution
The Meter Data Concentrator can be delivered with a customized backend protocol, making it fit seamlessly into your solution. It does not require a 3rd party application. This way, you remain in full control of your data and your solution.
If you need data to be reported more often than once per day, it is also possible to get a mains-powered device that will allow frequent meter readings (e.g. every 15 minutes).

Easy installation and low maintenance
The Meter Data Concentrator can easily be installed by one person and does not require a professional installer. As it is weatherproof, battery-powered, and relatively small, it can be placed flexibly wherever needed – both inside and outside.
Thanks to the battery lifetime of 10 years, the Meter Data Concentrator works independently for a long time.
It further does not require access to a local internet connection, mains power, or the installation of antennas which reduces time and costs for installation and maintenance.
