New research project SIOT aims to improve security of IoT devices
As IoT devices are being integrated into more and more parts of everyday life, it becomes even more important that these IoT devices are well-protected from security and privacy attacks. Especially in safety-critical areas such as medical care or physical security, it is crucial that the devices work as expected and the data is protected.
The new research project “SIOT – Secure Internet of Things – risk analysis in design and operation” aims to better understand security threats and develop counter measures to optimize the security of IoT devices. The project starts in February 2022 and is carried out by a number of Danish universities and companies, including Develco Products as a supporting partner.
Staying ahead of the curve of IoT security
With the increasing maturity of the IoT industry also come governmental regulations. Countries like the US and UK have already proposed governmental regulations for the security of connected devices.
As a participant in the SIOT project, Develco Products is able to be a part of the newest developments in IoT security and continue to offer our customers high security standards leaving them well prepared for upcoming regulations.
Within the project, Develco Products will provide case studies in IoT systems with challenging security requirements. The insights from the project will help us to test the security of our product platform and keep the high security standard of the devices.
