The easy way to combine multiple features in one IoT solution
Whether you want to create a smart home solution that also integrates meter data for energy management or gather data from various sensors for a smart building solution, the Squid.link gateways set no limit to your solution ideas.
With the support of Zigbee, Z-Wave, Bluetooth 5, and Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), Wireless M-Bus, WLAN, and cellular networks, the Squid.link gateways are the perfect option for any IoT solution.
Improved communication protocols with new gateways
To meet the ever-changing demands of the IoT industry, Develco Products has recently launched a new generation of Squid.link gateways that come with improved communication protocols. For one, the new gateway generation is fully Zigbee 3.0 certified. Zigbee 3.0 comes with better interoperability and functionality across vendors as well as an improved RF performance, which makes it easier for you to integrate different Zigbee devices into your solution.
In addition, Z-Wave has been updated to a newer chipset providing an improved antenna as well as the option to include an external antenna. This gives you a longer range and more options for your solution.
The new gateways also support Bluetooth 5.0 Classic and Bluetooth Low Energy 4.2 as well as the cellular network LTE, giving you more options when choosing which devices to integrate into your solution.
Multiprotocol smart home solution
With the Squid.link gateway, you can create an all-around smart home solution. Sensors detecting movement, air quality, or humidity can be connected to the gateway via Zigbee, Z-Wave, or WLAN, depending on the devices. With meters that communicate via Wireless M-Bus, the consumption can be monitored, and Zigbee devices such as smart plugs and cables can be used to have an overview of the consumption of different electrical appliances.
The multiprotocol function of the Squid.link gateways allows you to integrate Develco Products’ range of white label devices, your own devices, or products from other companies. This way, you can create a completely flexible smart home solution, according to your business’ and your customers’ needs.
Combine home care wearables and wireless sensors in one solution
A multiprotocol gateway gives home care solution providers new opportunities for their solutions. Integrate Zigbee devices like Motion Sensors or Entry Sensor to monitor seniors’ movements and spot potential accidents. Smart plugs can help monitor appliances and turn them off remotely.
You are also able to implement home care wearables in your solution. Wearables such as blood pressure meters, glucose meters, step trackers, or heart rate trackers can give insights into seniors’ well-being and help monitoring and detecting diseases. These home care devices typically communicate via Bluetooth Low Energy or Bluetooth Classic, which are supported by the Squid.link gateway.
Create a smart building solution with various devices
In the smart building industry, you can often find a variety of protocols. Meters communicate via Wireless M-Bus, smart plugs, sensors, or security equipment via e.g. Zigbee, Z-Wave, WLAN, or Bluetooth. With a Develco Products’ gateway as the heart of your solution, you can collect the data from various devices with just one gateway instead of having to use several gateways for data collection.
New revenue streams for utilities
With the Squid.link gateways, utilities can improve communication with their customers, distinguish themselves from the competition, and add new revenue streams. By offering smart home services, utilities can help their customers automate their homes and optimize energy usage. With energy measuring devices such as smart plugs or smart meters, customers get an overview of their consumption and energy bills.
