International Sales Manager – IoT solutions to the energy sector

Sales of energy management solutions on the international markets

Develco Product A/S works closely with large international companies in the energy sector. The company has recently joined forces with Datek Smart Home and has a unique strong market position providing full-scale end-to-end solutions, which are promoted and sold by the energy providers to their end-customers.

As an International Sales Manager (Energy), you will oversee the relationship with the existing energy providers and help to expand and further develop the business cases in close cooperation with the rest of the sales team.

Additionally, you will apply your knowledge of, and experience with, existing clients to identify potential new clients in the energy sector, and to develop, and eventually build new businesses.

You will be a central part of an ambitious international sales team located across Europe and have a significant opportunity to influence the direction of the company.

Some of your key responsibilities include:

  • Identification and development of new projects and new customers
  • Effective management and prioritization of leads and sales pipeline
  • Development and finetuning of business models and value-propositions specifically for the energy sector and their customers
  • Help existing clients develop, evolve, and optimize their business model
  • Commercial follow-up on customer activities internally

The International Sales Manager is based at the HQ in Aarhus, Denmark, but covers all international accounts in the energy sector worldwide with a strong focus on Europe. Travel is estimated to 40-60 days per year. The position reports to the VP, Head of Global Sales.

Tech-savvy sales profile with experience from the energy sector and IoT solutions for energy management

The following qualifications are highly desirable:

  • A strong understanding of the energy sector and IoT services provided to industrial customers and private households (energy monitoring)
  • Tech-savvy but with sales as a core competence and passion
  • Ability to open new doors and develop valuable relationships
  • Project management skills
  • Proactive with a strong drive and a positive attitude
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills
  • Structured and able to execute in a dynamic environment
  • Commercial or technical education with an advanced interest in IT/electronics products
  • Fluent in English. German, French or Spanish would be beneficial
