The Squid.link 2B is an all-in-one gateway connecting IoT devices and providing end-users with monitoring and control functionalities via your IoT system.

The Squid.link 2B is an open Linux platform that can include multiple wireless networks for communication with smart meters, sensors, smart plugs, thermostats, and much more. The IoT gateway is modular and can handle many different wireless communication protocols at the same time to ensure a maximum of flexibility for your solution.

Standard IoT gateway

We offer an off-the-shelf standard model for the Squid.link 2B gateway that fits most IoT solutions.

It comes with pre-selected protocols and features, but the packaging design, installation manuals, and labels can be customized to fit your brand. The standard gateway enables an extremely quick launch of your solution.

For high-volume solutions (MOQ 10.000), you are also able to customize the gateway to include only the modules you need and minimize costs.

A flexible IoT gateway for a flexible custom solution

The Squid.link 2B supports Zigbee 3.0, Z-Wave Plus, Wireless M-Bus, Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), Bluetooth Classic, and WLAN HAN networks. Communication with servers and e.g. smartphones can be established via WLAN, Ethernet (to local modem), or cellular networks.

You can also include a dual SIM card slot in the gateway giving you maximum flexibility. You are no longer dependent on one vendor but can combine your Home Area Network exactly the way you prefer.

The IoT gateway includes processor power that allows you to run your solution with top performance. The memory options leave room for data storage and logging, matching the requirements of your solution. With an optional battery backup, your solution works even in cases of power loss.

Extend the functionalities of the Squid.link 2B gateway with custom hardware options. By adding an external antenna, you can increase the range of your solution. If your solution requires additional flash memory, you can include a Micro SD card in the gateway.

The Squid.link 2B is configured when put into production. You can also design the appearance of the gateway the way you want. There are numerous design options that can be tailored according to your needs.

A secure IoT solution needs a secure gateway

Security is paramount in the IoT. The Squid.link gateways allow you to add hardware-accelerated encryption and secure authentication. By opting in a hardware chip, you can provide your customers with a secure IoT solution.

The offered hardware chip supports: AES (up to 256), ECC (up to 521), RSA (up to 4096), 3DES, HASH, MAC, TLS, and TPM functions.

Edge computing IoT gateway for optimized data security and solution performance

With edge computing, data in your IoT system is processed and stored locally on the gateway and not in the cloud.

This increases data security and privacy significantly, while reducing data transfer costs and lowering operation latency in your IoT solution.
